How to Reassemble a 5x5x5 Rubik's Cube
=>
So, your cube came apart when you were playing with it? Or did you take it apart to lubracate it? No matter the case, your cube is now in a hopeless pile of pieces. Luckily, this page with tell you eery thing you need to know to put your cube back together so you can get back to playing with it.
Step One: Organize the Pieces
The name of the step gives away what you are going to do. You are going to sperate your pile of pieces into 5 groups since there are 5 different pieces besides the core. These are:
Edge Piece X Center Piece + Center Piece
Corner Wing
From now on, I will call the pieces by the names above. So if you read "put the red + and X center pieces into place", find those pieces and put them into the right place. Start organizing you pieces. Start with the edges  and place them facing you. Then the corners, and so on in the order above. Put the wings of the same two colors above each other. Place the X and the + center pieces of the same color above each other. You will end up with some thing like this: This is the first step.
Step Two: Create a 3x3x5 on the Bottom Side
With this step, you place your first pieces. Pick any side of the core. This side will be the bottom side. I picked the yellow side. Find the four edges with this color on them. Put them in to place.
Now place the bottom color + center pieces.
Now find a corner with the bottom corner on it. Put that into place. Then put a bottom corner X piece into place:
Now, find the two wings with the bottom colors on them that match up with the colors on the corner and the edge pieces:
Now start working on this 3x3x3 block. Put the wing and the X center piece into place:
Now place the edge piece and the + center piece into place:
Now finish the block by placing the X center and the two +center piece into place on the other side of the block.:
Use the instruction above to solve the other 3x3x3 block to have a 3x3x5 block. That is step two:
Step Three: Finish the Bottom three layers.
This is nothing new, use the dirrections above to finish the bottom three layers:
Step Four: Create a 3x3x5 block on the Top side
Nearly the same as the above step, but unlike the step above you will place the corners then the edges(it helps to turn the top part of the core over a corner when placing the edges):
(You may notice that one of my corners is not staying in place too well (the front left one) That is because the bottom connecter has broken off. This does not effect how well the cube can be played with. Just take the connector out of the cube. It should have fallen out when your cube came apart.)
Two broken corners and one not broken corner. My cube has two that are broken.
Put a 2x3x3 block together, then put the other 2x2x3 block together.
Step Five: Finish the Cube
This is the last step, but it is not the easiest. Start out by placing the two corners and the one remaining edge.
Now pick a side, and start assembling that 2x2x2 block. Start with the X center piece, then put in the wings, then put in the X center piece on the top side. Note: do not place X or the + center pieces on the Front side. These will be put in at the end.
Note:
We will now finish the other 2x2x2 block. There is a specific order that these pieces should be placed in. Start with the X center piece on the right side, then the Top-Right wing, the top X center, the Top-Front wing, and the Front-Right wing. Again, do not place the front X or + centers. Here is a set of pictures showing this process:
X and Wing on right side
Top side X center
Top-front wing in place
Front-Right wing in place
This is where it becomes more difficult. Turn the top side 1/2 turn so that the edge is over the left-front edge. VERY gently, pull up on the edge until it pops once. If it comes out, you pulled too hard. Only pull up enough so that you can put the last three pieces into place. Loosly put the X center pieces in place. Then put the + center where it belongs. Push into the center of the cube on the + center until it pops into place. Your cube is now back to its normal state.

Well, now your cube is back together. Congratulations!
